Made in Baltimore taps 12 startups for accelerator cohort
Made In Baltimore, a city-backed program designed to support local makers, has selected 12 home-based entrepreneurs to participate in its five-month Home-Run Accelerator Cohort. This marks the program’s second year and is designed to help makers scale up and out into commercial production space. Participants that complete the program, run by the Baltimore Development Corporation, will be awarded between $5,000 and $10,000 in seed capital to help launch a new facility, according to a press release. The 12 businesses are; Alphee Arts, Amoona, AnkaraX, The Boutique Life, Fair Winds Candle Company, GIRL IN SPACE CLUB, Good + Plenty Naturals, Lobe’ Dangle, Mel’s Workshop, New Vintage by Sam, Sacred Ashes and Sweet Smith’s LLC.
